Brisbane Campervan Rental Deals
Brisbane is a brash and confident city whose rapid development and sunny climate make it a wonderful place to be. It is the third largest city in Australia and the capital of Queensland, and growing fast. The suburbs which spread out from the city centre are varied and distinctive, and its proximity to a number of beaches makes the lifestyle heard to beat.
Brisbane sits on a series of peninsulas created by the curves of the Brisbane River. On one of these is the CBD. Great shopping is to be had at the Queen Street pedestrian mall here, and at the point of the piece of land are the city Botanic Gardens. Across the river in the edgy Southbank is a feature which really demonstrates Brisbane’s fun spirit- a swimming beach which has been developed right in the CBD. Manmade Streets Beach beside the river has a crystal clear lagoon, white sand and lifeguards on duty.
Outside of the central city, Brisbane’s sprawling suburbs have a lot of personality. Paddington is full of interesting boutiques, The West End is adjacent to South Bank and has the same edgy, bohemian flair. Fortitude Valley houses Chinatown and also has some great nightlife and live music. Further out from the CBD, Portside is the trendy and upmarket neighbourhood where cruise ships to Brisbane dock. Brisbane’s suburbs give way to other towns which spread up and down the coast to the Sunshine Coast in the North and the Gold Coast in the south.
Fun, sunny Brisbane will give anyone a great start to a road trip. Queensland is a great place to explore, and is warm enough for a great holiday even in winter! Constant international and domestic flights to Brisbane make it an easy place to pick up a campervan rental and get on the road.
