Please purchase a tollway pass within 48 hours of using a tollway, unless prior alternative arrangements have been made with Serenity Motorhomes. We reserve the right to charge the renter for any speeding, tollway or parking fines. In addition to these costs there will be a charge of $50 for associated administration costs for processing the fines.

Change of Vehicle
Should the vehicle booked be unavailable through unforeseen circumstances, Serenity Motorhomes reserve the right to substitute an alternative suitable and comparable vehicle without prior notification and at no extra cost. This shall not constitute a breach of contract and does not entitle the renter to a refund.

Limit of Liability
In the event of no alternative vehicle being available to the renter, our liability is limited to a refund of the hire charge or in the case of mechanical failure (unless caused by the renter) the remainder of the hire period.

Standard Accident Insurance Liability Bond
Serenity Motorhomes Standard rental charge includes a liability bond of $3,000. A Visa or Mastercard credit authorisation for the liability bond of $3,000 is sort prior to delivery when you sign the Rental Agreement Contract. If a claim is made it will be debited to the credit card account. You must have funds available if needed.
The Standard Liability of $3,000 can be reduced by purchasing one of the following Insurance Liability Bond Options:

Accident Insurance Liability Bond Option 1:
Liability bond of $1,400. A credit card authorisation for the liability bond of $1,400 is sort prior to delivery when you sign the Rental Agreement Contract.

Accident Insurance Liability Bond Option 2:
Liability bond of $400. A credit card authorisation for the liability bond of $400 is sort prior to delivery when you sign the Rental Agreement Contract.

Accident Insurance Liability Bond Information
Apart from fair wear and tear, stone chips etc the renter is responsible up to the chosen amount of the insurance liability bond for damage to the time the vehicle is unavailable due to repairs and depending on fault, damage to other vehicles or property. Serenity Motorhomes reserves the right to charge the renter for any vehicle damage including third party property damage not reported on return of the vehicle. The vehicle is insured for damage to it and damage to the property of a third party. The renter is responsible for damage to the vehicle above windscreen height and the chassis underbody, such as impact under the bumper bars.
The insurance liability bond will be used to cover costs incurred if the vehicle is not returned to the correct location, is not returned on time, is not in a clean and tidy condition, has not had the fuel tank filled (if applicable) or the toilet and gray water tanks have not been emptied. The renter is responsible for damage caused by negligence or wilful and deliberate conduct including burns by cigarettes, matches and lighters, water or liquid damage, cooking burns, stains, failure to secure cupboards and draws causing breakages and extra cleaning needed if pets have been in the vehicle.

Payment of Accident Insurance Liability Bond
Payment of the liability bond is applicable regardless of who is at fault and must be paid when the accident is reported to Serenity Motorhomes. The insurance liability bond is normally the maximum dollar amount (refer item 6 of the Rental Agreement Contract) per accident the renter is responsible for. If the Rental Agreement Contract is breached then all damages and costs are attributable to the renter and must be paid for by the renter. Example; drink driving.
If a claim is made, the credit card authorisation will be processed and debited to the account including a 2% fee to cover bank surcharge. The insurance liability bond will be refunded if we are successful in recovering costs of damages from a third party. The insurance liability bond applies in respect of each claim, not per rental.

Personal Injury Insurance
The Vehicle has third party insurance cover. It is likely that any other vehicle involved in an accident also has third party insurance cover. Depending on the circumstances of the accident, the renter may be entitled to claim for their personal injury against the third party insurance of the party responsible for the accident. The extent of such third party insurance varies in different States and Territories and Serenity Motorhomes recommends that all passengers take out their own Personal Injury Travel Insurance. If the renter is responsible for the accident the vehicle's third party insurance should cover the renter, except where the renter has committed a breach of the vehicle's third party insurance, e.g. drink driving.

Your Own Travel Insurance
You may wish to pre purchase your own travel insurance in a package from a travel company (RACV or similar) or insurance agent to cover yourself against sickness, loss, theft and accidents etc. This can be a good idea as it may give the renter an avenue to recoup any losses arising from the payment of the insurance liability bond and any other liabilities incurred, including personal items of the renter.
Credit Cards All debited bonds (plus any other credit card transactions) are subject to a 2% credit card surcharge for Visa or Mastercard. Don't forget to check that your credit card has the funds available. All transactions are in Australian dollars only.

Animals
No animals are permitted in our vehicles without permission from Serenity Motorhomes, excluding guide dogs.

Smoking
Smoking is not allowed in our vehicles. Extra cleaning charges will be debited to the renters account if cigarette ash, burns, stains or damage is found in the vehicle.

Damage caused by negligence.
Damage caused to the Vehicle in by part or total water submersion or salt water.

Any booking amendments will result in the rate booked being re-calculated at the rate applicable on the date of amendment. Please note all prices are quoted and payable in Australian dollars.

Proper use of the Vehicle
The Renter agrees that, during the Rental Period, the renter will not allow the Vehicle to be: driven otherwise than in a prudent and cautious manner; will not be driven by a person under the influence of alcohol or drugs or with a blood alcohol level in excess of that permitted by law; will not leave with the ignition key in the Vehicle while it is unoccupied; will not damage by submersion in water or contact with salt water, creek or river crossings, driving through flooded areas, beach driving; used for any illegal purpose or in any race, rally or contest; used to tow any vehicle or unauthorised trailer; used to carry passengers or property for hire or reward; used to carry more persons than is permitted by any relevant authority or detailed in the Vehicle manual or on the Vehicle or specified in the Rental Agreement Contract; used to carry volatile liquids, gases, explosives or other corrosive or inflammable material; and vehicles are not to be used for the purpose of transporting and haulage of goods other than what might be reasonably expected of a leisure rental. Terms of booking on this website

Information disclaimer
The rates on this website are often heavily discounted. This is due to our negotiated rates and bulk buying power. On very rare occasions, a rate may be displayed incorrectly due to our, or a vehicle supplier's error. In such a case, if you book with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.

Liability
To the extent permitted by law we/the owners of this website will not be liable to you or to any third party (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to any accident, injury, delay or loss of enjoyment) arising out of your reliance upon information contained on this website, including but not limited to your use (or inability to use) any products or services described or procured through this website.

When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier’s rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.

While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. Please note that a 1.75% credit card charge will be added when your payment is processed.

A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Information disclosure
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.

Amendments
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is increased, an additional deposit may be required. If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:
Motorhome rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency):
To change dates or times that result in a recalculation of rental rates, or to change vehicles or locations: 75.00

The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.

The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed.

To add or remove extras to/from confirmed booking: 20.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.

Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated.

Refund Policy
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.

The renter is responsible for damage caused by negligence or willful and deliberate conduct including burns by cigarettes, matches and lighters, water or liquid damage, cooking burns, stains, failure to secure cupboards and draws causing breakages and extra cleaning needed if pets have been in the vehicle.
